13th DF lesson.

When I came to today's class, I knew that I have to fix some
 things with my car. But then Mr Ward came in and said that he fixed everyone's cars. And on today's lesson we just decorated our cars. I finished decorating 10 minutes earlier than the bell goes.

I am going to give my car to my mummy as one of the New Year's present, so that's why I have '2013' on my car.

So, that's my car :):):)

12th DF lesson.

I did something wrong with my wires because it's not working properly. When I put the batteries in, it starts working straight away and I wasn't even touching the buttons. I think I'm not going to redo it. Because I won't have enough time to finish everything. But still I need to do some things and then my project will be finished.

11th DF lesson.

Today we were going to join two parts together by the braided wire. It was harder than it seemed to be before we started. The point is to understand which piece of wire goes where. I thought that I understood, but still,  I got confused and stuck several times. I haven't finished all the work that we were supposed to finish. This Friday we also have to hand in our assignments which are questions from the blackboard. I've already finished and posted them. I just need to have a look at it, in case there are some mistakes that I need to fix.

10th DF lesson.

On this lesson I added a lot of things to my project. So it's all I've done during this lesson.

Mr Ward said that we nearly finished our cars. We just need to join our two pieces together by the braided wire, that's what we are going to do next lesson.

                                                        That's what I got so far.

9th DF lesson.

Today we have 2 DF lessons because of the swapping lessons.
I'm so excited about our first lesson, because I finished all my work from last lesson and all work for this lesson. So on the next lesson I'm going to start new stuff. My project starts to look like a car which is good:)

DF questions.

Air pollution, ocean pollution and soil pollution.

 1) Television panel is very handy because the TV could be switch on quickly and without moving to the TV and looking for special bottoms to press.

2)Special small cars are used by scientists to discover something in small spaces which human can't reach by itself.

3)The thing that opens the garage gate for car to go inside. It's very handy because the man can open the gate without even getting out of the car.

8th DF lesson.

Today we assembled the axle.the axle I'd made from steel. Also, we inserted the push switches into the remote. The electric motors now have drive gears on them.

That was all work that our class was supposed to do on today's  lesson. I haven't completed all that stuff that we were given, that's not good at all. So, I'll have to work harder next lesson to finish all work for today's lesson and for next lesson as well. I hope I'll complete all my plans:)

7th DF lesson.

Today Mr Ward cut out two holes in the big piece of plastic, he used machine called 'Dremel'. After what I tried to cut  something on a peice of  wood, I failed the experiment of using the Dremel machine, it's a bit hard to operate Dremel, but I liked this process.

6th DF lesson.

Today we spent a half of the lesson in the classroom. Firstly I did all measurings on the big piece of plastic. Then we went to the workshop and did some work there. Mr Ward asked us to measure 3 pieces of wire in plastic tubes. they were different colour: blue, red and orange. And then we had to braid this pieces. I finished all the work that Mr Ward told us to do for this lesson.
 I'm so happy that I finally changed subjects and I do DF next year :):):)

5th DF lesson.

Today we stayed in classroom. Mr Ward wasn't here today. So we had to do our bloggs and complete some questions on blackboard for our assignments.

4th DF lesson.

Today we worked in workshop! It was so much fun. 

I finished the work from last lesson and the work that we were given this lesson. 

I create a shape for the small piece by heating it using strip heater. Now it's a strange shape, but I really like it.

Now I'm thinking about choosing DF as a subject for year 9 and 10. 

3rd DF lesson.

Today we had the first lesson in workshop. It was so interesting. We started working on our projects. Firstly we had to choose the colour for our cars. I chose green, because it's one of my favourite colour and I think it's a really good colour for my car:)
Mr Ward said that we should draw two details on lists of plastic, bring it to him so that he could cut it out and after what, we would grind it and make holes by the drill. I finished this work except one thing, I didn't grind two sides. So, I'll finish it off on our next lesson.

2nd DF lesson.

Today we had to complete some tests called 'OnGuard Safety Training'. Those who aren't new to school this year, they had 2 tests which were completed from last year, they had to do just one more test and they are all done. Because I am new to school this year, so I had to do all of them. As we finished doing this task, we had some free time.

1st DF lesson.

On our first DF lesson we went to workshop and Mr Ward told us some rules that we have to follow and some other stuff.

Here are some rules.

-Wear apron and eye shields. Allowed to wear glasses instead of eye shields.
-Mr Ward has lots of cats, so DO NOT MAKE HIM LOSE JOB FOR THE SACK OF HIS CATS.
-On DF lessons we build confidence.
-DO NOT TOUCH Mr Ward's orange machine and SO NOT EVEN LOOK AT IT.
-Mr Ward is the king of the castle.
-Hair away from the machine.
-There is just one person in 'safe working' area.
-When in drought-ask Mr Ward.
-If it looks like a rubbish-through it out.
-Help cleaning the workshop after lesson, even if you finish cleaning your area.
